| Brief History | |
| Four parts make up this vessel :
the stand,which is integral with the lower part of bowl :the lid with its spire; an internal tray within the bowl; and a detachable finial in the shape of a cup. The whole vessel is laquer red, and the decoration consists of colour- filled yun in a simple floral pattern, pabwa, in green on the red ground. Bands of pabwa ring the bowl, with narrower bands on the spire and foot. |
