| Brief History | |
| This vessel is not a Traditional
Burmese shape, thought it was quickly assimilated into Burmese life. It was brought to Burma from india in the first decade of the twentieth century. This tiffing box is typical. A handle of turned wood holds in place three bowls and a lid; the latter could be turned over and used as a cup. Each part of the vessel is lacquer red outside,and a good cinnabar red inside. |
